Tax-Credits & Incentives
States - Alaska
Updated: October 2020
Alaska has no statewide incentives or change out programs for wood or pellet stoves or boilers that we are aware of.
However, Fairbanks and North Pole area have had generous and ongoing change outs and efforts and additional information can be found here. In addition, Fairbanks has stricter regulations allowing for what stoves and boilers can be installed in the non-attainment area. Stoves cannot emit more than 2 grams an hour, and cannot emit more than 6 grams during any test of their first hour of operation in the test lab. In addition, EPA stove certification documents must be complete, which is rendering many EPA stoves ineligible. Click here for an analysis and here for more details.
